Cut-off Jean Shorts!!!

I saw a DIY lace-edged cut-off shorts post a million years ago, and I've finally gotten around to doing it for myself. It's a really simple modification, but the results are SUPER worth it!!!!

I don't have any before pictures, but these were just two pairs of well-loved, well-worn jeans that finally started tearing, so I cut off the legs.

The lace was given to me by a school friend, and the ribbons are another set I pulled from my hoard.

Pair One: The Long Lace

feat. my graduation shoes which were NOT THRIFTY AT ALL, the cost $70 but they were worth every cent ahhhhh

I didn't have quite enough lace to make it around the whole of each leg, so I stuck some ribbon on the gap.

Pair Two: The Magical-Mori-Gal

Because I REALLY didn't have enough lace for this pair, haha.

but man I love these bows???
No complicated sewing, just hemming and straight stitching the lace! For the second pair, I actually just ran a finishing stitch over the cut edge and called it a day. I had to hand-sew the bows though, so that was a bit time consuming.

Peace~ <3
